Lifestyle Newborn Session at Home | Dan and Emily

We love the candid nature of a lifestyle session, especially one done at home. Dan and Emily recently brought home our brand new nephew Caleb, so we stopped by to document this little family loving on each other.

We consider it our job as photographers to sit back and catch our subjects being themselves. We want every session to feel comfortable and relaxed, full of genuine emotion. There's probably no better way of doing that than stepping into a home for a lifestyle session, where people are already in a familiar environment.

Of course we always encourage movement, select certain positions to get the best composition, and throw out some helpful prompts from time to time, but we find that our best shots come from people simply interacting with their loved ones. There's no shortage there when you've got two parents doting on their newborn baby. Throw in an adorably rambunctious dog and we've got everything we need for a great session.
