Capriccio Columbus | Mass in Blue Concert

What a stunning location! We were thrilled to be back with Capriccio Columbus during their Mass in Blue concert, which they performed at Saint Mary Catholic Church in German Village.

Under the accompaniment of a 10 piece jazz orchestra, Capriccio's Jubilee Singers were the first to perform in a new Artist Series to be held at Saint Mary's during the coming year. Director Larry Griffin led the group in the jazz style "Mass in Blue", which also featured soloist Keyona Willis.

The inside of Saint Mary's, which underwent a multi-million dollar renovation after a lightning strike several years ago, is stunningly beautiful. It's always nice when a location or venue makes our job of taking photos that much easier. We spent our time moving about, attempting to capture the scale of the sanctuary, alongside the passion put into the performance.

As always, it was wonderful to have a front row ticket (so to speak) for a Capriccio Columbus event and we're already looking forward to their next concert.
